3rd Annual Wild Shots Photo Contest: 2008

Naples Zoo recently hosted their third annual Wild Shots Photo Contest sponsored by Ritz Camera. Choices abounded for the perfect picture to enter from botanicals to wildlife. Winners were judged by Ritz Camera, Frank Berna and the Photography Institute of Naples, and Naples Zoo Board of Directors and staff. Photos were independently scored and the highest average scores from each category won. This year proves once again that lions are the king of beasts! Winners announced on October 4.
Photos taken at Naples Zoo anytime in 2008 could be submitted to one of three categories for the Wild Shots Photo Contest , sponsored by Ritz Camera. The grand prize winner from each category will receive great prizes from the Zoo and Ritz Camera.
- Children (12 and under)
- Novice (beginners and non-professionals)
- Advanced (considerable photographic experience to professionals)
Photographers select which category they enter. Photos had to be color, 5” x 7” or 8” x 10”, and submitted unmounted and unframed by September 5, 2008.
Images could be mailed to Wild Shots Photo Contest, Naples Zoo, 1590 Goodlette Frank Road, Naples, FL 34102 or dropped off at the Zoo's gift shop.
